Summary

Colin Kaepernick sparked a widespread movement in 2016 when he used his position as an NFL quarterback to protest racial injustice, police brutality, and systematic oppression, by kneeling during the national anthem. That same year, he co-founded the Know Your Rights Camp, a free campaign which empowers disenfranchised individuals through higher education, self empowerment, and knowledge of their legal rights when interacting with law enforcement.
